Buy LR2 now or Wait for LR3

I am so torn. I'd really like to get Lightroom now. I have a 3' day trial but that's going to expire shortly. I don't want to buy Lightroom 2 with three being on the verge of release. I don't want to go back to the old processing software. What to do, what to do?

Wait for the end of your 3' days and try Lightroom 3 beta 2 for another 3' days... in hope that you will reach the final release just in time. But no guarantee tough! :

I was under the impression that the 3 Beta 2 wasn't a time limited trial.

LR3B2 is indeed time limited but to much more than 3' days. In fact, it is limited to a date. I have to check that date tough...

EDIT: The current Lightroom 3 public beta 2 will expire on June 3', 2'1'

Ooooooh tough question. Was your trial 2.6 or 2.7 Ruth? Because last time I checked, the trial got reset with each dot update. Worth a try!

No question about it - wait for Lightroom 3!

Don't use Lightroom 3 Beta for your real photos and such - it's just a beta and it might not be possible to move your database to the final version, so just use it for learning and testing.

I would wait... Lightroom 3 public beta 2 will expire on June 3', 2'1' that *may* lead you to believe that LR3 will be released around that time (or it could be just LR3 beta 3)
