I need to reduce the size of slideshow PDFs below 100 MB each to work with the free version of my web upload software (www.hightail.com). So in the LIBRARY module, I selected about half the photos in the active slideshow folder. However, when I did the Export PDF operation Lightroom included all the photos in my slideshow, so that the PDF was well over 100 MB.

Bug? Feature working as designed? Is there a workaround, short of creating two separate slideshows?

What was shown in Slideshow's toolbar, Phil?

Good luck producing a small slideshow file though!

John,

So I am really embarrassed by what I saw just above the slideshow filmstrip:

I guess I just never noticed this UI element before. So to answer my own question, it's a feature that whose behavior is easily modified.

However, I have used this import present for a while now. Same kind of UI element:

You'll find that the Use dropdown box is in all output modules, Phil.
