Please help!
When I try to view a video in Lr or sometimes even to import one I can an error message like this one:
"An unknown error has occurred while reading the video file. Connecting to Dynamic Link server failed."
The discussion here suggested adding a ".old" suffix to some Lr folders, forcing Lr (I think) to create ones has worked a few times, but not for long and at the moment isn't working at all. Hence at the moment I can't import videos or view ones already imported.
(I did have a dynamic link system set up -- so long ago I forget how I did it! -- so that my wife and I could share settings between our macs, but I get the impression that others who don' t have that set up are having the same problems, so I doubt it's responsible but am not sure.)
Any help would be enormously appreciated; I can't do anything with videos at the moment.
