Brush Tool (Softening Skin)

I treid to use this tool last night and after I used the brush on my wifes face and went back to Fit Mode from 1:1, her face colour was different. Am I supposed to do anything else. I did not change anything.

Are you saying the color is different before and after applying the brush, or is the color different between Fit and 1:1?

If the former, are you sure you didn't add a color to the adjustment brush?

I selected 'Softening skin' option. the skin after softening was more pinkish or falsy? Is there an option to increase or decrease the strength of the skin softening brush? By default, the circle was huge. Not sure what's that thing which looked like a circle within a circle

Yes, the circle within the circle is the brush. The inner circle is full-strength, the outer circle is feathered. You can adjust the size of each using the size and feather sliders, or the [] shortcut keys (use them with Shift to adjust the feather).

The brush just applies -1'' Clarity and +25 Sharpening. You can adjust the strength of either.

The color should not be affected. If it really seems to be affected, can you post screen shots before and after so we can see what you mean?

I found that when using the adjustment brush it would also change the area's color. :shock: I realized when using the adjustment brush tool it seems that the color adjustment box seems to be active by default. I found I would have to open it and sample a tone that matched area I had adjusted... and then all was well.

Is there any way to shut that color adjustment to OFF as default unless you want to turn it ON?:roll:

It seems that the saturation of the colour in the soften preset is set to zero so that nay affect the application of the brush.
What you have done would be the best way to achieve what you are after al though a feature request to have different options saved in the presets (which sliders are active) may be in order.
