I have noticed that in 2.1 using the brush to make changes to a photo causes my iMac 2.8 ghz with 4gig of RAM to bring on the spinning wheel EVERY TIME I make any changes to the sliders. ALL the time now.

What is causing this and how can I stop it !

It takes so long to make adjustments on one photo I may have to stop using LR. I have tried to have LR as the only program opened and check my activity monitor. Still no change.

Please - CAN anyone help ?

Brushing is quite CPU challenging! Even with my new MacPro this can happen. The best thing I found to almost get none is to avoid releasing the mouse button once you start brushing. I release just to move my big 1:1 preview in the window to continue in another section of the image or when I have to change brush size for details. Doing so, I just get the "Beach Ball" for 2 or 3 seconds between those operations.

And welcome to the forums Allan!
