Bridge Ratings and Labels

I've got some raw files with ratings and labels that were applied in Bridge. When I import the files into LR they come in with different ratings that I guess were applied during the initial sorting. I have Bridge set to write to XMP. It's supposed to write those changes and reflect them on import to LR isn't it?

Yes, it should do Cannon! I've never come across that one - what happens if you select those files and go to Metadata > Read Metadata from Files?

Thanks. That did it. I thought that it was supposed to be an automatic thing. It's weird though(at least to me) that the wrong ratings showed up instead of no ratings at all.

Very odd - were those images already in the catalog - or had they been previously?

They were images that I had received from someone else for retouching. There were 2' images that had 5 star ratings. It turned out that I only needed to work on 4 of them, so I cleared the ratings and starred and labeled the picks all in Bridge.
