...today and was charged 21% VAT which is the Irish rate!
This is obviously a technical issue and wholly appropriate to this forum;)

LOL I know, it seems silly! The VAT is based on wherever the download site is.

That is correct. Only the currency exchange rates are not updated. I pay 99 euros (ex. taxes) compared to 99 dollar and that is a difference of 41 euros in favour of Adobe.

It costs US$299 to by Lightroom 2 via the US site and US$52' to buy via the Australian site. I can't buy anything Adobe via the US site, as it directs me to go to the Australian site. Why should a simple Internet download cost almost twice the US price in Australia? Something is seriously wrong. :x

Yeah, yeah, I know, that's a big to-do over on the main Adobe forums too. That said, I think we'll probably leave it going on over there, and focus on actually using the program here. Considering none of the users here have any say over how Adobe price their products, there's not a lot of point complaining about it, so we'll just keep things positive.

Hey, don't worry about it. SOMEONE was going to bring it up!

The Mods have been chatting, and have decided that Adobe can keep their pricing threads over on the U2U as, whilst the current members here are beautifully behaved, it could draw in some troublemakers.
