I have LR2 installed on my Mac machine. One of the things I like to do with photos is stitch panoramas from multiple exposures. Since my Mac is a little slow, I farm the stitching work out to my XP PC which is newer and faster.
I run into some inconvenience in that when I export my NEF files in LR to TIFF for stitching, they are generated in the Mac byte format. When I put them on my XP PC the stitching program can handle them okay but if I try to view the final output using the standard windows picture viewer it can't read the Mac-format TIFF (the format was preserved in the final stitch). This creates a small hassle as I have to copy the output back to my Mac to open it in CS3 to check the output for errors.
It would be nice if I could tell LR to export my TIFFs in PC format even though I am on a Mac- much like PS can. I can work around this inconvenience by opening all the TIFF files in CS3 and re-saving using PC format before I take them to my PC to stitch but the more elegant (and faster) solution would be to have the ability to select what format the TIFF files get upon export from LR.
