Before/After Preview Question

I really like this feature.

I understand that if I made adjustments to a raw file, I can see a before/after preview and I've done this many times.

What I noticed 2 days ago is when I make adjustments to a raw, then hit the reset button and adjust again, then do a before/after preview, both pictures are the same. I am positive I did not select any aother button but the one that displays before/after. Can this happen?

What about if I crop a picture. Would the 'before' preview display pre-crop and the 'after', post crop?

The "before" view doesn't take crop into account. It'll always show the current crop, even if the "before" state was a different crop.

You can set any snapshot or history state to be the "before" state. Right-click on any snapshot or history state and choose "Copy ... Settings to Before".

As for what happens when you Reset, I've never looked carefully into that.

Doing a 'read from metadata' will also update the 'before' state to the 'read' state, which could have been a possibility.
