Please moderator, feel free to move this thread if it is not correctly posted here.

I have about 18.''' pictures in an external drive and only 117 in my Mac at the moment.
I have been working hard on keywords and came to some conclusions.

However there is one thing that puzzles me a lot. A lot.

I work with one Catalog. The one with some customizations like Identity Plate, Presets for the Camera Profile, White Balance, etc.
When I Export for example Portugal as a Catalog I will not have my Plate Setup any more neither probably my Camera Profiles, neither my White Balance presets, etc.

And this made me loose lots and lots of time.
I have often Optimized and made Catalog back up (one back up has 376 MB). Then I strated all over and I was not having my presets.
Then I begun again to have them. I fought hard and I don't want to lose my catalog the way it is now.

I do have organized my pictures the way you can see. I think it is most logical.
But: What if I had a laptop and wanted to export my setting from this computer I am in now and the other one ?
Same IP, same Presets and so forth ?
Even same Collections...
May be copying all the forders from the program itself...

The question could be:
How can one have the same default program every time I export a catalog?
Kind of Default program, customized, tailored to everyone of us.

What am I missing here ?

Time to look at my tip on presets then Antonio.

Some make a TemplateCatalog.lrcat for this purpose. This Template is empty (no images) and just contain the wanted configuration. When they need a new Catalog with all their settings, they just copy that Template to a NewName.lrcat

I read your post carefully and I only found my metadata preset TUDO-'1 in the Catalog I a working with.
Look at this capture here IYP

The Metadata preset I found is not the one I am using in this Catalog.

Oh well... Forget it. Too complicated for me.
Hard to explain, hard to understand.

I will keep one Catalog as it is and when time comes - if ever I buy a laptop - I will try to solve the problem.:cheesy:

For now I will import and export the folders at will and Relaunch the Catalog if LR becomes too slow...

Thank you for your patience...:up::mrgreen::mrgreen:

Your presets are everything in the column where one entry is highlighted in blue (left of your red markings). Try not to confuse with your other running topic about keywords where I also talked about making a preset for IPTC metadata...
