Getting ready to update my computer. Presently I have LR installed on my C: with my images located on a separate drive F:. Periodically I have backed up to an external drive. Until just last week, I used PSE 6's organizer which backs up image files as well as the catalog. Now I bought LR 2.5.
As I understand it, LR only backs up its catalog and the image file backups are up to me. OK, no problem.
On my new system, however, I will not have the second internal drive. Only my C: I can still backup the image files to the external drive but that is only a safety backup. My working files are on my internal drive.
My question... If I reinstall LR on the new computer and somehow (don't know how just yet) reactivate my catalog, won't the catalog be looking for an F: drive to find the images? How will I tell it to look on the C: drive. I don't see any preference where I can point the catalog to a new drive.
