Backing up

OK so I've been through the shots I recently took, decided to work on the good ones, have some Im happy with, not sure eyt about the rest, and want to back up the good ones (labelled or starred?) to another location i.e. internal/external HD or burn to DVD etc

i.e. I want to back up the ORIGINAL files RAW files (and possibly LR adjustments to them as well, as a copy or ...?)

Presumably there is a simple way to do this from within LR?

Well, for a start, I'd say just buy another hard drive and back up everything personally.

However if you just want to back up specific raw files, you've got 2 options:
1/ Use Export with it set to Original format, and export to a single folder on the backup drive or DVD

2. Use Export as Catalog with 'include originals' checked and send a backup of those photos in their folder hierarchy, and a catalog containing your adjustments to the backup drive/DVD.

I'd still set an automatic backup running on the lot though.

thanks V. I tried the auto back up with the 'drive manager' on my seagate FreeAgent but I checked at the scheduled back up tie and nothing happened so Im not confident.. when I eventually up to 1'.5 I can use time machine I guess but I still need classic for my real job
