Okay, so I have typed in a name and misspelled it while entering metadata. However, Lightroom wants to suggest that misspelled word each and every time I try and type the word correctly. How do I get rid of the misspelled suggestion?

There is no direct way to do that, other than "Clear All Suggestion Lists" in Catalog Settings. I have found, however, that LR only remembers the last 12 entries made for metadata entries --for sure Caption, and I think others (this is like Custom Crop ratios where it only remembers 5). I'm not enamored with this design, since I use the caption field to identify players on a sports teams, and remembering 12 is just insufficient. I feel that an application should leave the management of fields like this to us, the users, and not place arbitrary limitations on us -- like not being able to delete junk and only remembering part of what has been entered.

Aperture 2 (boo... hiss...) lets the user edit the memorized entries for just about everything. That really comes in handy to clear out old entries or spelling mistakes. Time for a feature request, I suppose.

Is this a keyword, or a name elsewhere? Because if it's just a keyword, deleting the keyword should do the trick.

Nope. I noticed that, but unfortunately this is for metadata. I began typing Georgia for the state metadata field, and hit tab too soon. I went back and corrected it, but I now have a suggestion of "G" and a suggestion of "Georgia" for the state field. My OCD prevents me from ignoring that! ;)

Related - another annoying little thing, that LR is case-insensitive to the point that it treats "EVent" the same as "Event" and the suggestions will auto 'correct' your "Event" keyword to the original "EVent" you mis-typed the first time.

So you can't rename "EVent to "Event" as 'that keyword is already taken..choose another word'. So I have to misspell it "EVentx" before renaming it to "Event". Case insensitive is good but it should be able to tell the different between searching and input, surely.
