auto color correcting.. need it to stop

When I import RAW photos into lightroom from my Nikon D7' and my Nikon D3'' the photo previews while viewing in Develop mode change automatically from a beautiful exposure that I set up and shot to a muddy darker and less saturated in color. Why is lightroom doing this and what can I do to stop it.?
