It took me four tries retyping a reply today, very frustrating. I think the reaction due to errors is quite unfriendly.

Try #1: Attachment was slightly too large, it gave an error (fine), but lost the text of my reply. I tried BACK, forward, etc., it was gone.

Try #2: I retyped everything, adjusted the attachment size and checked carefully, posted. It claimed it was a double posting. And AGAIN it lost the text of my reply. I refreshed, exited, opened a new window -- no double posting.

Try #3: Started all over, fresh window, typed it all again (I'm not very smart, I still didn't copy it from try #2, I had to retype). Post -- error -- this time it doesn't like the TYPE of the file (BMP). Why it didn't tell me on try #1 or #2, I do not know. And... you got it ... lost all my text again.

Try #4 worked, I typed it for the fourth time. I think the reason it worked is I made sure this time to COPY before I posted so I would not have to retype again. Like carrying an umbrella.

So two "features" I think were unfriendly -- one is the loss of entered text when it decides to give you an error, and secondly is an erroneous "double post" error, after it rejects you the first time, in response to correcting and posting again.

PS. Yes, most of this could have been avoided if I were a bit more careful in the attachment size, and had more carefully read the allowable file types first. I understand. Mea culpa.

Yikes, I sympathize, that kinda junk happens to me all the time. I'm not sure if Ian can do anything about it, the forum is based on a third party product, but we feel your pain. (Big help, I know...:) )
