Applying Labels

I suspect applying them in Develop with AutoSync enabled would work, but that's hardly the efficient way.

If you have a Metadata preset that includes a color label, you can apply those to multiple items even in Loupe view. By default, Lightroom will ask whether you intend to apply to just the main image or to all selected images, though you'll have the option to hide that dialog in the future.

I was actually hoping to do this from the Print module, but I figured that I was just dreaming. I have to make 4up prints of hundreds of files from a casting. I keep having to jump back and forth between the print module and the the grid view in the library to mark what has been dealt with.

If you look at the Sync... dialog you will see that only Dev settings would be applied.

In Library, in none Grid, a Sync Metadata with only Label checked and filled in should work, though!

Sorry that my post following your last doesn't help, either.

Seems that is can't be done. Maybe a feature request for a Modifier key operation to do this out of the Library might be in order.
