Apply Metadata Changes to Stacked Images

A reoccurring challenge I have is to assign a flag or rating to all images in a stack. Sometimes I don't know until I've completed the pano or HDR what my decision is.

A quick Google suggests is to unstack the images, apply the changes, then restack. I could also not find any plugins that would do that.

Is there a easy solution to assign flag/rating etc to all images in a stack?

The easiest way is to Shift-click on the stack number. That will expand the stack and select all stack members. Apply the metadata and then click the number again to collapse the stack.

Thanks Johan. That's a great improvement even though I need to apply the metadata to each image separately.

No, you don't. You need to be in Grid view for that, but then the metadata will be applied to all selected images. Make sure you uncheck the menu 'Metadata - Show Metadata for Target Photo Only'.

Also, the Syncomatic plugin will sync metadata among members of stacks.
