Another Rating Oddity

LR is applying a 5 star rating to everything that I import. I was importing files to a new catalog that I set up for a two week location job that I leave for tomorrow. I was also testing out shooting raw+jpg. I tried shooting just raw and raw+jpg and the ratings were applied to both types. I tried applying different presets on import, and that didn't make any difference. I also tried setting up another catalog and got the same thing. It's not a major problem, but may cause some issues.

Cannon, just a thought, you said you tried several presets.

Were those develop presets, or metadata presets?

The ratings are set on import by the metadata preset. It's easy enough to verify the rating applied, by selecting 'Edit presets', on the metadata list box in the import dialog.

If you've already checked that, then I dunno'.

Yeah, I figured it out. I think that I had edited an old metadata preset and somehow got the rating checked. I'm sure that I have used that preset before, and it didn't include the rating. I'm used to editing metadata presets in Bridge where including the rating isn't an option(at least AFAIK).
