Hi... My name is Nigel, I live in Hackney, London, UK. I dont use LR for any business purposes, just purely for pleasure. Most of the photos I take are of my tropical Fish, I have 6 tanks here. I have a website which is basicly just 4' or so photos and some text. And also some holiday photos too. I bought lightroom as a treat to myself but after you read my thread you will see that my knowledge of LR is just about zilcho. Over the next few months, I intend to find out much about the programe. I have 2 cameras, a Sony a1'', and a Cannon Powershot A8'. I find that a great little camera with plenty of features, it can be fully manual, fully auto or anything inbetween. If I could get better DOF I would be even more happy with it. People have told me that buying LR is OTT for what I do but I like the creativity and when my knowledge is better I hope to be making some good creations. My interests are Photography, just browsing the net and spending hard earned cash, My Computer is a PC with 2 HDD, one containing XP home, and the other Vista Ultimate. That is very handy to be able to switch between one and the other, especially if one develops a problem and I can then go to the other OS and perhaps download a driver or whatever I need. I am also well into Tropical Fish with 6 tanks now, and I seem to have developed a hobby of ordering meals from the local Indian/Chinese menus :cheesy::cheesy::cheesy:. I also like a bottle or three of wine, not much of a beer user now as I am diabetic (type 2).
I hope you can put up with some of the questions that I may ask... To me they will be the most complicated thing on earth but to most of you, they will be so basic. Please bear with me on that one, I will learn though.
Jeez, I just looked at what I have typed here and think I better stop. Otherwise it will be more than an introduction, it will become a story :cheesy:.
