OK - since upgrading to 1.3.1 I'm noticing a number of strange program behaviour patterns, the others I've already asked Q's in this forum. Another one has begun yesterday...

if I take the image from LR to PS and then save the doc as the psd, whether I make changes in PS or not when I then review the saved psd doc back in LR there a huge shift in exposure value, whites get blown out, the entire image increases in brightness. It's very odd almost like applying a preset as it updates the psd LR created.

Any suggestions what's going on here?

Thanks

Ah! Might

have found the answer why.

It seems that the auto import dialogue had a auto apply preset type check box checked. I've unchecked it and will see if that helps.

If this is it though it's rather odd for I didn't check that box.

Paul,

when you edit the image in Photoshop, Lightroom already knows where it is. So the question is, why are you importing the psd file back in to Lightroom to review it?

Is it possible you are in fact exporting the file from Lightroom to work on in Photoshop. In that case Lightroom would know where it is and you would indeed have to import it. Which is where, as you discovered, other settings were being applied. Although you could simply press reset at this point from the Develop module and your importered PSD will look as it did in PS.

OK sorted

Yep, returned home, played with LR with that box unchecked and all is ok.

Mods - this can be deleted if you want.

Thanks
