I have been editing Images in LR 2.3 After about 16 images I get an "An unknown error occurred" message.

I tried to export the image and the message said;

Some export operations not performed.

Then in the window it said;

Not enough memory
Name.JPG

Any Idea what this is?

Are their scratch disk's in LR?

Hmmm. Is that the final version of Lr 2.3, released yesterday?
You were working in Develop, when the first error occurred?

No, there are no scratch disks per se in Lr. There are two caches, the ACR cache which is configured in preferences, and the preview cache, which is the *.lrdata folder/package next to your catalog *.lrcat file.

You don't say Mac/Windows, etc. in your otherwise excellent signature.

Traffic seems to slow down here, late evening/overnite, US east coast time. In the meantime, if the problem continues after a restart/reboot, you can have a look at the standard generic trouble shooting steps.

I am not sure if it is the Final version or not. I downloaded it today from Adobe.

I am in Develop mode working on Jpegs. I use LR as a rough editing tool. I export to a file then use CS4 for final retouching.

The folders I am working on contain about 4'' images.

That should be the most current release. I believe build # 5394'7.

On which machine were you encountering the problem? Does the problem reproduce on the other machines? Any results from the troubleshooting steps?

I'll be watching this one with interest. I've just heard of another guy, similar specs, OOM error. Intel Quad-Core 2.33GHz, 4GB RAM, 1.5TB HDD. Win XP Pro SP3

Frank, if this can be reproduced again, I'd be really interested to know whether you see the same problem with the 2.3 RC available from http://labs.adobe.com, which was a couple of builds earlier.

I am having the same problem on 2 computers. I haven't tried my laptop yet.

Adobe help didn't work.

Thanks for the help.

Frank, did or can you try out the 2.3RC version? It would help to isolate where this has crept in.
Thanks.

You are just so far behind the 8 ball Denis!!:lol::lol::lol:
I was hoping that the o/p had it already!
If not it can still be obtained from one of us.........

LR 2.3 RC was a 'test' release, which while available to all Lr users, was not yet rated as an 'official release'. Lr 2.3 RC was released about 5-6 weeks ago, but you had to look for it, it wasn't available as an automatic update through the Lr menu.

LR2.3 was officially released, I believe March 2, 2''9? Earlier this week, anyway. It should be virtually the same as the RC, with a couple of additional bug-fixes.

I think the folks are asking whether you've used one or both of these, and if you haven't, to volunteer to check whether the problem also existed in the earlier RC release also.
