Gurus, it's a shame that proper documentation doesn't exist for this incredibly powerful software; I hope that Adobe is compensating you for your time somehow -- cash, preferably!

I am finding some simple, basic stuff just randomly not working, or working differently than it has in the past, or just completely non-intuitive. Issue du jour: I have done hundreds of round-trips for the sole purpose of noise reduction via Noiseware plug-in (always subject to the file-bloating referenced above). Up until now, as soon as I got back into LR I could at least collapse the stack to keep my cleaned up image on top. Today, all of a sudden, stacking isn't even appearing as an option, and in the main menu under Stacks, every option is greyed out so I can't even manually force a stack. I promise you that I have not manually changed anything in Preferences that would have caused this behavioral change.

I hate randomness!

Kent, it does, it's called my book! ;) (Ok, shameless plug, I know!)

Believe me, we do this for fun.... and it IS fun, once you get your head round it.

Your stacking - make sure you're in a folder view, simple as that. It doesn't work in other views.

Thanks to you and to Brad for getting back to me with comparable thoughts, but I NEVER work in collections unless by accident. I will double check.

I'd happily buy your book, but as of today I guess I need to wait for Version 2.'!:cheesy:

Version 2's already out Kent (the book and the program!)
