Great to find this forum (via Victoria Bampton's posts on another board)! She always has great advise that I finally got around to checking out her 'internet home' and I'm glad I did.
Relatively new to photography and post processing (picked up a DSLR in Jan '7 for the first time). I've been working as a second shooter for a local wedding photographer since May '7 and just love it. It's not my primary job, but I'm building experience and hope to one day make a career move into photography.
As for LR, I had the hardest time wrapping my head around the concept of 'importing', 'exporting' and 'it's a database', etc. that I finally attended a one day workshop by Scott Kelby in Dec '7 that was really helpful. I now do 95% of initial post work in LR but still painfully slow in my workflow.
My hope is to use info. here to become more efficient with LR so I can continue to enjoy the entire process of shooting, editing, corrections and final display/delivery.
Thanks in advance to those that created this board and those that may respond to my posts.
Aloha,
Greg
