The good news is that when I reloaded from my back-up, they were all there with all the work I put into them. Luckily all I lost was a couple hours of adding keywords. But...my question is, "Any idea how I did that so I don't do it again?"

The last BIG thing I did was marked all images & expanded all stacks. Is there something I'm missing regarding stacks? If pertinent, any images with virtual copies have a darker frame, which I don't recall if this is "normal."

I also noodled around a bit, playing with the view of the expanded cells, before I even realized that they were gone, but I doubt that had anything to do with it.

If it matters...LR 2.3, PC, XP.

There is an option called 'Copy Status' in the Library Filter bar at the top of the screen under the Attributes tab that allows you to turn off the viewing of VC's etc... maybe you had selected it when playing. It's just to the left of the histogram in the attached shot.

Thanks for the reply, & the information. I certainly didn't know that option existed. However, I never went into that area.

I'm choosing to stick my head in the sand & accept this as one more of the mysteries of the cosmos.
