After I ftp html gallery then what

Hi Everyone I am new to lightroom and webdesigning I do not know too much about websites but yet i have built a few using mostly the easy webbuilders.
i am usig the 1and1 website builder now building my photography site. i just uploaded a html web gallery from lightroom to my ftp account . my knowledge stops there how do i get that gallery on a web page - I would embed it to the page or make a link to it right now i dont care. how do i do either -- to link i know how to make a link but how do i get the address to link too? or to embed where do i ....... well i dont know please help i do sports photos and need to get my new poster line up to view... Thanks you so much
