Adjustment Brush Problem

I am having a problem with my adjustment brush and I am sure it is some simple thing I am missing that will fix it. Every time I want to use the adjustment brush, it will only paint in red no matter what color I choose. When I want to change the exposure in a certain area, it paints red. When I want to paint a little brown here or there, it paints red.

Any ideas what I am missing? I am sure it is a simple fix.

You're seeing the mask. Press O (letter oh, not number zero).

For more fun in the sun, once you've got the mask showing, press Shift-O to change the color.

OH... And Shift-O toggles the color of the mask and H hide unhide the pin...
