Adjustment brush has quit working

My adjustment brush has quit working. I can't even see the mask overlay. Restarted PC and also did a repair install nothing I have done has helped. It was working earlier but seems to have quit. I have LR 3 beta 2 installed.

It really stopped working or is it just the overlay or pin that you don't see?
Try to play with "H" to hide unhide the pin and with "O" for the overlay. You can also change the overlay with "Shift-O".

Recently, my adjustment brush stops working every so often. Still don't know why stuff stops working in LR every so often. If I quit out of LR and then go back in, the brush seems to start working again (for a while).

Has Joel Howell's problem of May '4 ever been solved? I'm in the same situation with LR3--Adjustment Brush shows the points on the image, but no overlay, no effect visible when I make any adjustment. Best new feature of LR2 seems not to be working on LR3. I've tried toggling H and O and Shift-O, but nothing seems to have any effect. Windows XP platform.

Are flow and density turned up to reasonable amounts?
Is the panel disable switch, (lower left hand corner of Local Adj panel) on or off?

Grasping at straws, because it's working fine for me.

BTW, welcome to the forums.

Thanks, Brad. Sometimes the easiest solutions are the best. Somehow my flow was set to 1'' and density to '. I doubt that the download came with those values, so I may have lowered it accidentally, but now that I've upped the density, it's working fine.

Thanks for the welcome. First time I've had a question and posted, but I've often lurked to learn.
