I think some of this is probably feature requests, but I hope some of it is just my not figuring things out yet.
When I right click on a picture in library grid, one of the items is show in collection. That's real handy for figuring out if I've put it in a collection yet. Is there anyway to get a drop down list of the collection sets and collections and add the selected items to the clicked on collection? What I'm doing now is selecting items for a collection, and if it exists, scrolling down out of the folders area to the collection area (quite a long task it seems sometimes) and then dragging and dropping the selection on the collection. Which then changes my focus to the collection, requiring I either right click on one of the photos and show in folder, or left click on the back arrow. Neither of the latter is that time consuming, but it is an extra step.
Since I recently read that keywords are stored in the xmp, but collection info is only in the catalog, and since SQLite seems to go belly up every once in a while, I wonder if there is any way to drag and drop between keywords and collections or vice versa directly, rather than selecting one or the other and then selecting the photos displayed and taking keyword or collection actions. For the most part, I'm finding my collections tend to be named the same kinds of words I'd want as higher level keywords for those photos. For example, a collection set called plants that contains a collection set called flowers, that contains collections for roses, yellow flowers and so forth.
Also, what does the check mark in front of the keyword in the keyword list do when it exists?
Thanks,
