adding keywords

Hello, i hope someone can help me with a big problem. I want to add keywords to images without keywords, so i filter out the images without keywords thats a great thing in Lightroom. But then after adding one keyword the images disapear, because it no have a keyword. How can i add more keyword to the same image? There is no use for the opertunity to filter out images without keywords, if you cant add multipel keywords to the filtered images:twisted:

I realy like the opertunity to filter out the images without keywords, do some work. And then later filter out the images without keywords, add some more keywords.

Any ideas on what i have missed here?

You need to work in a regular collection, not a Smart Collection. I use the Quick Collection for this:

(') Clear the Quick Collection (Shift-Control/Command-B)
(1) Go to the "Without Keywords" smart collection.
(2) Select All (Control/Command-A)
(3) Add to Quick Collection (B)
(4) Switch to Quick Collection, and do your work there.

I (and others) have submitted a feature request for the ability to make Smart Collections only update on demand rather than automatically. If you like that idea, please submit one too; the more people who ask, the more likely it is to happen.

Thanks Mark, i will use the quick collection, but it would be nice to work direktly on the filtered images. I have added a feature request for this.

Delete in collection

When i add keywords, there are some image i want to delete. This is not possibel in collections. This is another reason to have the oppertunity to turn off the filtering, in that way i could add keyword and delete the images i want in the selection i got by the filtering. I hope they fix this.

Kai, there is a lesser known command to directly delete images selected in a collection.

On Windows it's ctrl-alt-shift-delete. Something analogous on Mac I'm sure.
For some reason this got named the 'splat-delete' during the early beta testing stages of Lightroom.

Thanks, i did now about this command but somehove i forgot it, i think i am getting older:)
