I recently imported a bunch of old photos, but many of them were edited at some point in their lives and so much of their EXIF data is missing.
During the import I told LR to import into folders based on "date taken", which largely went exactly as I wanted it to. However, when LR couldn't find the "Date Time Original" EXIF entry it used the "File Created" time stamp, which sometimes was days or months, possibly even a year from when the photo was actually taken, because that was when the edited version was created. Since many of these photos are event based I'd LOVE to find a way to batch correct the "Date Time Original" entry.
Although LR will edit/modify the "Date Time Original" entry it apparently cannot add missing EXIF entries. Is this correct? If so, does anyone know of another product or plugin that can batch add EXIF info?
