Ability to add Post-it/Sticky Notes on images?

Hello – I'm pretty new to Lightroom, (this is my first post here) but one thing I'm not seeing anywhere is an ability to add sticky notes directly on an image. This ability exists in Photoshop with the Notes Tool, and I use it a lot to add specific notes to my retouch artist. The location of the note (directly on the image) helps me describe what needs to be fixed.

Does anyone know if this is something that may be added to Lightroom in the future? I would find it very handy to not have to open the image in Photoshop just to add a Post-it Note.

Or, I'd be interested in hearing if anyone has a different/better method of communicating retouch notes, or marking-up changes to be made to an image, when face-to-face communication isn't possible.

I like this idea actually. Somewhere to scribble notes pertinent to an image plus the ability to find & list those notes somewhere. Have submitted a feature request for it.

Yes that came to my mind earlier - the "Instructions" field for one, but it's not quite the same as even having a generic 'comments' area/field that doesn't impact the established metadata fields with IPTC or other targeted use. I currently keep a notes list in my web mail!

Unfortunately, using Caption is not an option for me, as things would get messy in creating virtual copies later on just for the sake of correct metadata formatting for media.

This has been requested before, even back in the Beta, two years ago. Try putting in a Feature Request. It can be done via the Bug Report link in the Tool bar top of Forum.

One request I've been making is the ability to name Pins in the Brush tool.

While I want it for marking what's what, you could draw a mask and label it with a note, if we got my request. ..
