Aaaagh!! It's back!

I'm sorry to be back again everyone. I tried moving the Preferences file (with your help I was able to find it) but it didn't make any difference so I put it back and then for a few hours last night it worked perfectly. Now this morning it worked great for a couple of hours and all of a sudden it's closing again. I'm ready to go stark raving mad!

All this started when I downloaded v.1.4.1 , could that be the problem for some reason? If it might be how do I return to v. 1.3.1?

The upgrade shouldn't be an issue Kathy - or it wasn't for me !!
Maybe you could open 1.4 using the opt (mac don't know what it is on Windows but next to the space bar)and start a new catalog. Then "import from catalog" the entire old catalog. If the old catalog is large do it in chunks.
Please try that and see how we go, next we will need a hammer !! LOL
That's option 1
Option 2 is buy a M..:shock::cheesy::lol:

I like your option 2 Geoff, I'm working on it. For sure the next time I need to upgrade it will be to a Mac. Anyway I switched back to 1.3.1 and it's working great. I got all the Metadata updated and I've made copies of all my picture files on 2 different eternal HD's. I'm not sure what I did, maybe I did something wrong when I installed 1.4.1 Now that I have my backups made maybe I'll try again and see if it works better this time.
