I am having a number of problems using Lightroom. I have been using LR for about 6 years I have LR Classic 8.2 installed.
when using Graduation filter you can see the changes happening in the Navigation small window but not in the main window but when I click back into library and then back into develop the changes appear. There is no line coming up or a dot saying you have a grad filter has been used.
When working on the main window I have another photo appearing in the top left hand of the screen same size.
I have just tried to export a number of photos all at once but instead of clicking on the number of stars to bring say the 4 stars altogether this doesn't work! the only way around it is to click on each individual photo then click into export but it is a time waster.
I seem to have a lot of gremlins! I turn off LR and re-boot the PC and this doesn't help. I am reluctant to uninstall LR and re-install it.
Help must appreciated

In Lightroom... Edit > Preferences > Performance tab
Is "Use graphics processor" ticked? If yes, untick it (then restart LR). If no, tick it (then restart LR). Does that make a difference?

If that doesn't work try updating your graphics card drivers - or delete the drivers and reinstall them.

Hi Dan,
Thank you for your help. I did tick "Use graphics Processor" and restarted LR and some things are working but I'll have to do more editing to see if the other problems get fixed. Many thanks for this advice.

Click the letter H to see the lines in the Graduated Filter and the Pin. Click H again to not see. H=Hide or unhide

If you're still using Windows 7, as mentioned in your original post, you're probably working with some ancient computer components. A new Windows 10 computer with a fast processor will probably help.

There are several good but geeky articles about Lightroom performance and computer components here: https://www.pugetsystems.com/all_articles.php?filter[]=Lightroom
