Hi,

I have converted my 16-bit monochrome TIFFs with Lr and Mogrify plugin
Lr exported them as 8-bit JPGs
but then LR doesn't see them there is "LR has encountered problems reading this photo"
any idea how to solve the problem?

Welcome to Lightroom Forums.

It would seem your conversion has made the files no longer RGB. If it is now a Grayscale for color mode, LR wont see it.

Don

LR/Mogrify has (had?) a bug that corrupted the icc profile in grayscale images. You can fix it by entering "-true-color" without the quotes in the command line parameters fields in Mogrify when you're exporting. Give it a try and let us know if that solves it.

I have entered "-true-color" in "parameters for start of coomand line"
but it failed to export :|

I have the newest version on Lr and Mogrify

yes it must be Mogrify bug because when exporting with disabled plugin
Lr reads a photo

but

with "-true-color" parameters it fails to export files:

log:

mogrify.exe: unrecognized option `-true-color' @ mogrify.c/MogrifyImageCommand/5728.

help pls

Are you running the latest version of Lightroom and LR/Mogrify?

Hmmmm, yeah, I'm getting an error too. Drop Tim an email and see what he says.

I think I've found an answer thanks to you Victoria :)
it should be "-type TrueColor" istead of "-true-color"
many thanks Victoria - I was searching for an answer for a couple of days
no results in google - so the post maybe helpful for others

Thanks easy rider, great bit of research! And welcome to the forum!
