4K video importing

If I import 4K video into LR. Does LR convert it to 1080 or does it stay 4K?-- Reason for question I would like to extract jpeg from several frames in the 4K video. Nice way to shoot sport. Bigbob

It stays at 4K. I use it in exactly that way to extract from "4K photo mode" from my G7 (it's in mp4 format)

If you happen to have CC and Photoshop, it's a lot easier to render it there, in my opinion.

Thank you for the reply. I was told 4K changed to 1080 on import. I think it does change on export.Are you using any photo4K settings on camera. Bigbob

As I understand it, your still settings carry over to photo 4K. I have been trying to capture birds with a ss 1/1000 or less, but with limited success!

I shoot soccer with 4K in photo 16:9 1/250th it stops all the action.. Make jpegs in lightroom. Print up to 11x14 no problem. Bigbob
