How does one edit the metadata key words on a specific photo?

How does one delete a photo from LR completely?

I would like to have all of my photos in one catalog as I am only importin the Keepers into LR anyway... but I would like to have the catalog images organized in folders like "Scanned Images Color" "Scanned Images B&W" "G9 RAW" "G1' RAW" "JPEG".

Can one drag and drop photos from folder to folder inside the collection? I remember seeing a warning that something I was about to move could not be undone... what was that all about?

1.working with keywords is done while in library module. They will be in the right hand panel of that module. It is kind of intuitive, but you can use the help menu and it will give you specifics.
2. While the photo is selected you can hit the delete key or right click(or mac equivalent) and delete the photo. When the dialog box comes up you have the choice of remove or delete from disc. Remove just removes it from the LR catalog only, delete from disc takes it off your computer also.
3.You can set up your file structure any way you want. Once you get them set up however, it is generally best to only move them around from inside of LR. You can drag+drop photos from one folder to another. I believe you must click on the photo itself, not just the grey box around it. There is a difference between a collection and the catalog. I'm not sure about moving between collections though.
I would recommend you get either Victoria's book or Martin Evening's book on LR. They are both great resources to look up all the little gotchas that can happen while bouncing around LR.

Bennett, the "Can't Undo..." message means only that. The 'Undo' (ctrl-z) function won't undo that move operation. Naturally, you also wouldn't be able to use the Undo function to do any previous steps from that session. In any case, you can reverse any of the changes using Lr's regular functionality, it's just that the Undo button won't work in that instance.
