2.1 install does not work

When I go through the installation process for 2.1, it seems like it works (although it is quite quick), but when I start Lightroom, it still is 2.'.

The same thing happened when I tried the 2.1 Beta. i feel like I am missing something obvious, but I don't know what it is.

This is on a Mac Pro. Help please!

There is no problem in the about screen it does show Lightroom 2 .
The build number should show 5122'5.

Ok that is not the correct version.
In your applications folder, rename that version by adding to the name (something like "2.xx").
Then run the install again.
Assuming this will be successful, then delete the version you renamed.

Thanks. That didn't work, but it made me realize the problem is that I don't have Lightroom on my boot disk.
