0.1.2 gallery plugin by Lightoom Blog problem

Hello!

I uploaded the '.1.2 updated version from the lightroom-blog website (http://lightroom-blog.com/2''8/'2/vertical-scroll-gallery-update-to-v'11.html) . I tried to follow the instructions as closely as possible (Windows XP --> Lightroom folder --> created the Web Galleries folder --> unzipped the file there). The problem is that even after the restarting of Lightroom 2.4 I can't find the the new option from the "engine" panel on the right hand side. Any ideas?

I was told that the person who made the plugin also reads this forum so I would like to thank for the great looking free plugin in advance - I really hope I will be able to use it!

Is it a good thing to unzip the folder within lightroom?,I´ve always unzipped onto my desktop then copied and pasted it into the relevant folder within lr.but there again, I don´t know much about these things... :rolleyes:

You're attempting to install a gallery created for version 1 of Lightroom. I'm not even sure it'll work correctly with current versions as the Live Update file has changed quite a bit since then. Bear in mind this was released in Feb of last year.

You can also try opening the Lightroom Program folder in Program files. Inside is a folder called 'shared' and inside this is another folder called 'webengines'. Try unzipping into that folder.

Sean, look at this thread to understand what MESS wanted at first when coming to the Lightroom Forums. I think he is looking for something like your "Website in a Gallery" but got lost to the wrong one. TTG Pages etc would be fine for him too but he was concerned by the price...

Makes sense.

That, along with the horizontal scroll gallery were the basis for LRB Portfolio, but LRB Portfolio is far more sophisticated. Especially if you consider that there's the guts of a years development. 2.4 will be out shortly and remove what I feel is the last major pain point for the user.. hand editing the mail PHP/html file.
