I have just noticed an odd issue I have not experienced before. On a few of my images the image displayed in the Detail view on my laptop is not the same as the image in the filmstrip. See screenshot. It transpires that the originals of both these images have the same file name. However I have...
Thanks Victoria. The path was the same exactly. Interesting - I contacted Adobe support because the comments from Tim above seemed to suggest it was a design feature and not a bug. This is what they told me:
Sadly no luck. Lightroom appears to be deleting the originals and then redownloading them. If I choose a folder in the Explorer file where I have stored the originals, all the images from that date are there. But if go to images from that date in LR, none of them are synced. As they start to...
Thanks Victoria, I'll give it a try. That's what I did last time and it just refused to sync , but it turns out that computer was faulty (which is why I'm restarting again so soon) so hopefully this time it will co-operate.
I am using Photoshop Lightroom Desktop (cloudy). I like to keep a copy of my original images on an external hard drive. I am about to reinstall LR on a new computer. Is it possible to tell LR to save the originals to the same hard drive and have it recognise that the originals are already...
Thanks David. I will give that a try. I'm not moving files regularly, just transferring to a new computer after the old one died. It seemed logical to keep the original files rather than redownload them, but it does seem to be confusing LR.
I have recently moved Lightroom Desktop to a new laptop. On the old laptop I had saved my originals to an external SSD drive, so on the new laptop I set LR to save originals to the same location on the same drive. However, LR seems to be continually downloading and resyncing the same files...
I contacted Adobe support. After about 2 hours they ended by saying "We have never seen this issue before" :)
They said they will get their engineering team to have a look at it.
It's very odd! I've never seen it before. I also tried reinstalling LR, but the error remains.
Thanks for looking. System Info & screen shots attached.
I am seeing a warning on LR desktop all HEIC files saying HEIC files are not supported without a subscription. However I do have an active subscription, and I am able to edit those files on LR mobile, and on a second PC. I have tried restarting LR, logging out and back in, and doing a full...
I have close to 150,000 images.
I have deleted the previews folder, which has freed up about 40GB, for now. Of course there's a new Previews folder, but it is much smaller and I assume it will take a while to get to that size again. Is it also safe to delete the Proxies folder?
Thank you for...
My C drive keeps filling up with Lightroom files, specifically Previews and Proxies. My C drive is only 256G, and I keep all my files, including LR originals on D. However the foder C:\Users\ALIENWARE\AppData\Local\Adobe\Lightroom CC\Data is currently 90GB
I have set my preferences to NOT store...
After digging around to see why my C Drive kept filling up, I discovered that the lrcc_console.log file has been blowing out to 40GB+. It only stops growing when there is no room left on the drive. When I close and reopen LR the log file becomes small again, but rapidly (within hours) regrows...
