I may have spoken too soon - on examining an old portfolio site I created some time back when I was testing things, I found that MOST of my photo grids showed captions, but SOME did not. At first, I had no idea why they were different, but a bit of testing leads me to the following theory:
IF...
Your assumption is correct. So why is this apparently not working?
In Lightroom Classic, how many photos do you see listed in the "All Synced Photographs" special collection? Is it 336?
In Lightroom in a browser, how many photos do you see in the "All Photos" section? Is it 336?
In a Finder...
I've never been happy with how Portfolio handles captions. It's been a while since I used it, so my memory may not be accurate, or things may have changed in the meantime, but to the best of my knowledge:
A photo grid automatically includes captions on each image, whereas if you add a single...
Hmmm, interesting. I did a quick test, in Lightroom Classic, and noted the same thing. In my case, all the sliders are set to the same points except for Whites and Blacks, which are significantly different. Unfortunately, I have no explanation for why this is happening.
I use OsmAnd, a general mapping application which also does tracklog recording, and it has worked fine for me. I have also downloaded cycling routes from RideWithGPS and they also work well. Another one to look at is GPS Logger, it's a while since I used it but I don't recall any problem.
Really?
The Missing FAQ says "Contains All runs an AND filter, such as photos with both dogs and cats keywords" and likewise for Contains Words (the difference being that the first will include partial matches, the second only including whole words).
I did a quick test, and the results were as...
Be careful with your terminology. The "Creative Cloud" plan covers all apps and costs US$59.99 per month. I'm guessing this is the plan that the original poster was on? Instead you can subscribe to one of the "Photography" plans for US$9.99 or US$19.99 per month and retain access to both...
Not sure why you're still going on about this ... I suggested a feasible solution back in post #3. Sync images to the cloud, then use Lightroom Desktop/Cloudy (if 3rd-party software is allowed) or Lightroom Web (if a browser is available).
Precisely why the original poster asked about a method using "some online "magic"", and also why Califdan's proposal won't work. And why I suggested online access via the Adobe Cloud.
Easy. Make sure that any images you want to work on are synced from Lightroom Classic to the Adobe cloud - this will create reduced-size proxy files in the cloud. You can then access these images while you are traveling, and do rating, cropping, and basic image enhancements. The image processing...
Interesting, I didn't get that in my test.
Generally, the Lightroom Classic catalog is the repository of all information about your images, so if you are happy with how everything looks in your catalog, you should be safe choosing "Overwrite Settings". But again, I didn't get the message you...
Yes, the usual advice is to do the Denoise early in the processing.
I tried a quick test to try to replicate your problem:
I created a Denoised version of an image.
Made some edit adjustments to the Denoised image.
Manually deleted the Denoised (DNG) file from the disk.
Noted that Lightroom...
This comment stood out for me, and I'm not sure that it's been fully addressed so far in the replies (or maybe you've figured it out in the meantime), but just in case:
YES, the edits DO sync between the cloud and Lightroom Classic. They sync both ways - you can edit in one of the cloud apps...
Just clutching at straws, but ... a new version of Lightroom Classic was just released, Version 13.2, which includes some bug fixes, so it might be worthwhile upgrading and see if anything improves.
My guess is that there's some Develop setting which is restricting the dynamic range of your image. Two things to check are (i) the "Tone Curve" - it's possible to restrict the whites by moving the top/right end of the curve; and (ii) the Profile setting - do you have a "non-standard" profile...
Not sure if this helps, but:
If you have the filmstrip open at the bottom of the screen while in the Map module, then you can select your images there and then drag them to the saved location. An alternative to dragging is to click on the toggle box at the left of the saved location name.
If...
No, no, you guys are completely misunderstanding what I am suggesting, and what I think the original poster wants to do. We are talking about watermarking being an option that is applied on images presented via a public shared link (I believe that is what TerryDonofrio was asking about). At the...
That doesn't explain why the functionality is not available. I can't imagine it would be too difficult for Adobe to implement an "Add Watermark" function to the display options for shared images. (Those shared images are also "derivative" images which the ecosystem is preparing in a different...
Maybe a long shot, but check the "Account" page on your phone - are you logged in to the correct Adobe account, and is your subscription paid and up-to-date?
I agree that the "Update is available" message is potentially misleading. I've seen it before and been confused by it. But, why don't I see it now? Why is mine different from jjlad's?
