It is an internal drive.
I have created another folder via LR (Import Test) LR created it "read Only" but LR was able to copy a few files into it then the error message.
I think your earlier suggestion about hitting a file and then stopping was correct as it seems to stop whenever it hits a...
Screenshot attached
The destination folder was showing "read only" so I unticked that box and attempted another import. Got the same error message and on examining the folder found that LR seems to have reset the folder to read only. The screenshot is taken after the attempted import
Thanks Cletus
I am able to copy from my Iphone to the same destination using file explorer and can import individual files using LR but if I try to use LR to import multiple files I get the same error message
Hi Cletus
Thanks for that
1. certainly explains the inability to recognise dupes. In the import dialog can I deselect many files at once? I can select them but there doesn't appear to be an option to remove them from the import. I do not want to flood my LR catalog with superfluous dupes.
2. I...
Hi Folks
The header says most of it. I have (just) upgraded to the latest Ios 13.6.1 and when I attempt to import photos LR does not recognise that I have previously imported some of them.
When I attempt to manually select the new ones and import them the imort fails and I get the (unhelpful)...
At last I have found the solution to the problem. Also to another one I had (I was getting partial prints before the printer ejected the paper)
On another forum I was following the partial print problem and discovered that ticking the "Print Preview" box could be the culprit.
Un-ticking it has...
I have set Manual Adjustment, as you can see from the screen grabs I posted earlier. Are you saying you have got yours to work OK using the Canon driver and the LR print module?
Thanks
Keith
Print Studio Pro would seem to have solved the problem. Magenta cast gone and preview in Print Studio Pro gives the same rendering as Soft Proof in LR
Don't know why the normal Canon driver can't do this!
Thanks Johan
Sorry that link does only refer to the pro 1 and pro 10 but further searching (by inputting the printer details and following the links) has revealed a version which works with the pro 9000 MkII
PIXMA Pro9000 Mark II - Support - Download drivers, software and manuals - Canon UK 10 (64-bit)

It looks as though I may have to do that but soft proofing will not work properly so more test prints will be needed.
Thanks for the link to the plug-in. Unfortunately it is only for the Pro 1 and the pro 10, not the pro 9000
Yes I learned about the magenta/double-profiling thing some time ago so it was the first thing I thought of when it happened with this printer. It does look as though the driver is not behaving itself but I cannot work out why this should be so. Obviously I can leave colour management to the...
I agree that it sounds like "double profiling" and I am aware of that problem but if you look at the attached I think you will see that I have done everything in the driver to eliminate that
That is the point I am trying to make. If I set my paper profile in the print module it gives a pronounced cyan cast (print or preview) whatever manual setting I use in the driver dialog.
The only way I can avoid this is to use Adobe RGB in the print module
Surely this should not happen!

Hi
I am having problems installing a Canon Pixma pro 9000 MkII in Lightroom 6.14 (Win 10)
Everything works fine if I set the proof copy profile to "Canon pro900 MkII" in the develop module and "Adobe RGB" in...

Just installed a second hand Canon Pixma Pro 9000 Mk2
Win 10 has the very latest update (massive) and I'm using the latest printer driver from the Canon website
When printing from LR and "print" is clicked...
Thanks very much Ad Astra. Somehow the upgrade changed the printer settings. I have changed the driver back to "no color management" and the cast has disappeared.
Since doing the above I get a heavy magenta cast when printing from Lightroom 6.7 (though everything looks fine in both Library and Develop modules). I had no problems before the upgrade to Anniversary Edition.
The problem occurs on my old Epson photo 1290 (which I use for A3 prints) and also...
