Adobe removed Generative Fill from Photoshop Beta v24.7 yesterday.
I had rolled back to 24.7 and things were working fine. Now that isn’t an option if you want to use Generative Fill. Why Adobe is messing with our heads on this issue is troubling. At least let us use 24.7 until they fix their...
I’ve tried it all twice. Uninstalled, reinstalled etc.
Nothing is fixing the issues present in Beta v25.0. It’s up to Adobe now.
As I mentioned I rolled back to Beta 24.7 after all the useless uninstalls and reinstalls and things are working as expected. Of course I don’t have Generative...
I might be mistaken but I don’t think there is a fix right now. We’re waiting for Adobe to fix it.
Roll back to Beta 24.7 and be happy for the time being. Is it really that urgent to have Generative Expand?
You were notified of an jupdqate AFTER v25.0?
It's not showing for me so if you're still on v25.0 then nothing has changed and the Beta is still a mess! :(
It’s not that important to have Generative Expand.
Everything works fine and as expected in 24.7.
Waiting for Adobe to fix the issue seems the best approach.
Best course of action right now is to roll back to PS Beta 24.7 which works as expected until Adobe fixes the glitch. Nothing else will fix it -- I've tried everything. Only thing is you won't have Generative Expand until 25.x is fixed!
I haven't had the problem lately. I'm sure it's some sort of operator error.
The history panel seems like it may have been the culprit. Maybe I right clicked the "Before" on one of the history steps which caused all this trouble.
I'll be careful as I go forward and we'll see what happens...
No, the appearance of the image. Although I'm wondering if by chance I clicked on a history item and didn't revert back to the final edit. I'm not sure. Although I never much even pay attention to the history panel so I doubt it.
I know the .tif file returned from PS starts at that point. But I...
Thanks @Rob_Cullen
Here is the workflow...
I might make a couple of small edits before sending to PS.
In PS I might clean up a few things with the remove tool or use Generative Fill to remove something bigger. Then I "Close" and then "Save" and PS sends the .tif file back to Lightroom.
From...
Something new happening and it's not good.
I send a photo to Photoshot (beta) for some editing and then close/save back to Lightroom for final processing.
Everything is fine
I change the star rating to 3 and then Lightroom seems to lose all the edits. I am unable to get back to the edited...
Not sure why this happened or how or why this happened but I have a few lightroom catalog files. Different versions but no idea why they are there.
Is the only one I need> Lightroom Originals 2-2-v10-v11.lrcat?
I'm getting ready to move all my photos plus the Lightroom catalog to an external...
@Paul_DS256 … yep. Thing with using global adjustments first is that you have to take unintended adjustments to some areas you may not want ( sky, subject). That’s why I’m thinking that if you want total control on the sky or subject it may be best to go straight to the local adjustments and...
I don’t see the need to use the global adjustments that much anymore.
When you use global adjustments the sky gets all of the adjustments. For example. Then you lose most of the benefit of select sky in the local adjustment. Seems there is just much more control going directly to the local...
With the advent of Lightroom v11.0 we have some obvious awesome masking options. So I'm wording how your workflow may have changed.
Here is what I mean...with most of the "How To" videos I've watched it seems most people are completely bypassing the Global Adjustment panel and using the Local...
Not sure why but the Shift click doesn't give me the little arrows to go left and right to zoom in or zoom out.
Is there secret? I am in the develop module and when I shift click all I get is the magnify icon but no little arrows ...:(
This is why I was looking for an easy way not to import videos on import to Lightroom. I'll just use the sorting method and uncheck the videos upon import and my problem is solved. Thankfully Lightroom has that sorting feature or it'd be a nightmare.
Because I want them imported in to FCPX where they belong. Why waste a bunch off space importing them into lLightroom?
Anyway @Jim Wilde has the answer that will work pretty easily.
Yeah I had figured out how to do it that way but thought maybe somebody knew of magic button like they have in FCPX.
The work around in Lightroom isn't the end of the world though. Thanks for the help!
I've tried searching the forums but can't find an answer to my specific question...
Here it is...
I'm shooting still and video on the same card. When I import the images into Lightroom I don't want the video clips imported too. There maybe be a couple of thousand images and maybe 40-50 mall...
