Show map view and loupe view side by side on same screen (using secondary monitor feature?)

I would like to have the map view and loupe view for a photo showing side by side on the same screen. This will help me as I'm working my way through photos and updating their geographical locations. I know I can use the "secondary monitor" feature to show the loupe view on a separate monitor...

Import photos and metadata (in JSON sidecar files) from Google Takeout?

I have exported photos taken using my various mobiles devices from Google Photos, using the Google Takeout service (takeout.google.com). I now want to import these photos into my Lightroom catalog. Each photo (JPG) is accompanied by a sidecar JSON file which contains metadata, some of which is...

Find duplicate images based on graphical content, not based on file name, properties or tags.

Happy to report that Deduplicator did an excellent job on the test selection of images I pointed it to. Easy to install and use, did the job perfectly, identifying only *exact* duplicates, but not a single *near duplicate*, which is precisely what I was after.

Find duplicate images based on graphical content, not based on file name, properties or tags.

Many thanks for the suggestion John. :) I don't think that's quite what I'm after though. If I understand the write-up correctly, the AnyVision "find" feature bases its analysis on the metadata, which consists of labels assigned by Cloud Vision, so it's just automating the tagging, whereas I'm...

Find duplicate images based on graphical content, not based on file name, properties or tags.

How can I find exact duplicate images (already in my Lightroom catalog) based on analysis of the actual graphical content of the image, not based on file properties (filename, tags, etc.). I imagine this would be via a method using hashing technique? Many thanks. Stefan

Lightroom CC + shared folders on OneDrive

Hi, I have a question about my specific setup and whether Lightroom sync and OneDrive can work together. My wife and I each have Windows laptops and OneDrive accounts. We use shared folders on OneDrive to share files between us. Nominally I have all the "master" photographs (350GB, 90,000...

Keep secondary display showing even when moving to another app

How can I keep the secondary display window showing even when I switch (alt-tab) to another application? I have multiple (3) monitors and run the main LR window on one screen and the secondary LR display on a different screen. I am frequently switching between applications as I am working on...

Library module Edit capture time for multiple photos: How to set specified time for all selected photos to same time, not to relative time?

Ken, thanks for reminding me about ExifToolGUI. Yes, that does make things easier. :-) Nevertheless, it would be good to have a function/option in Lightroom to "set photos to [the specified] date & time", rather than have to use tools external to Lightroom for what seems to be a basic photo...

Library module Edit capture time for multiple photos: How to set specified time for all selected photos to same time, not to relative time?

Wernfried, many thanks. I am aware of exiftool but would prefer to use Lightroom GUI, if at all possible. I also can't use the *.jpg wildcard as there will be many photos in an individual folder, only some of which I would be setting to the same date & time in each operation, so I would have to...

Library module Edit capture time for multiple photos: How to set specified time for all selected photos to same time, not to relative time?

Hi, I want to set the date & time for multiple photos to be exactly the same, but the Edit Capture Time function does not allow me to do this, even though I'm using the "adjust to a specified date & time" option. The function sets the date & time for the first selected photo correctly, to the...
