I have a huge mess. Do I start all over?

I am also sorry to read about your problem. I do Lightroom support in Norway, and have visited dozens of user machines with ta similar problem. So I think I am able to understand your frustration. Usually I don't believe in starting over. The main reason is that you loose all your work up til...

Tecnical differents between LrC HDR and PS HDR Pro

Thanks a lot for your complementary reply. I believed LrC DNG HDR also is 32 bits, but now I must change my mind. It sounds logic that 32 bits demands more images to capture all nuances. We need to convert the 32 bits to 16 bits in Ps, in order to do more editing. I need to go testing this, to...

Tecnical differents between LrC HDR and PS HDR Pro

I notice now and then that users tell LrC HDR is not good enough, so they have to use Photoshop HDR Pro, which can edit in 32 bits. Ps HDR Pro uses Camera RAW to edit. My question is - are the two applications technically different? Aren't they built on the exactly same engine with the same...

Missing photos are not missing after all

Thank you, PhilBurton for kindly sharing really good guidelines about folders, which I have followed strictly from the beginning of Lightroom 2 - Only one top folder. Sorry you did not understand my post. The photographs were NOT missing, just listed as missing.

Missing photos are not missing after all

Thank you, Jim. This was a bit strange. Lightroom listed photos as missing, even thou they were not missing. The command Library > Find All Missing Photos was not run. Suddenly, yesterday the Catalog collection "Photos Missing from Folder "nnn"" was correct, when opening Lightroom. Even thou...

Missing photos are not missing after all

Lightroom Classic 9.1 says 4332 photos are missing from folder 2019, but they are all in the catalog. I can rightclick and choose Go To Folder in Library, and Lightroom opens the folder, and shows the photo every time. Optimize catalog does not change this. The file names have not been changed...

Using wildcard in the field Capture Date in Smart Collection

I want to group my photos by capture month any year. Can I use wildcard to filter out photos taken in July all years by using a wildcard for year and date in the Capture Date? Example: Capture Date is *-07-*. If Lightroom accepts wildcard, what is it? I know about work around, but they means...
