After listening to all of this, I'm of the opinion that anyone that doesn't take seriously the fact that Adobe doesn't care one whit about the users, especially if we aren't pro photographers. Companies make mistakes all the time, but this is just sheer arrogance. For people like us, this is an...
I don't see how that this can work for the "serious" photographer as, as I understand it, the new cloud version doesn't use RAW, and it uses downrezzed jpegs. Is that correct? I shoot nothing but RAW now.
My question is: can I use Adobe Lightroom CC << New cloud-centric software and not buy my storage from Adobe? If yes, that's great. If not, I'm done as I am a hobbyist and not paying a fortune for file storage.
I've just read every thread I could find about Wacom tablets that was put up in the last year. I still don't have a firm answer, if that is even possible. What I'm trying to find out is if using a tablet will be of any help to me considering that 90+% of my post processing is done in LR and none...
I think what Tony is doing is a great way. I learned something. Putting pictures on my laptop catalog during a trip is more for making sure I've saved them to a place to keep them safe. I doubt I'm going to use vacation time to PP. If I want to PP something to put it on FB or the web, I'll do it...
I see that you are on a Mac because of Aurora. My complaint stands because I don't have a plethora of programs to export to like you do. I'm trying to rid myself of the LR monthly sub and only have it right now besides On1Raw. If On1 can't use my plugins then I've cut off a lot of my...
Thanks so much. I've got mobile on my LG V20. So, as I understand it, I can synch either my SP catalog, or my desktop with it, one at a time? And if I do that I can then use the web version to look at whichever catalog I've synched?
I've got a BenQ monitor that I just bought. It's a 32 inch version and I am really impressed. I moved up from a 24 inch screen and the difference is HUGE!! Literally! Having more windows, side by side, without them getting to the point that I needed a magnifying glass has been a wonderful...
I didn't know how to word the title, so I'll just ask my questions here. I'm somewhat confused. I'm using CC. I have LR on my Surface Pro and my desktop machines, both Win10. What can I do in the LROTW? How do I get all of my photos to show up? Instead of answering my questions is there a place...
My absolute biggest complaint with ON1 is that it doesn't work with all my Nik or any Topaz plugins. Topaz was freaking expensive!! I want to use it. Until they fix this I'm going to stay with LR. ON1 also needs to get their user forum from behind their pay to use firewall. Who in the *$%&*$...
I have never heard of Fast Raw Viewer but I did go look at their site. This seems to be a big step in the right direction. It's dirt cheap for software so I think I'm going to try it out. Thanks for mentioning this!!!
I agree, mostly. We've been hearing about RAW for long time now, I suspect at least 10 months. While I don't mind a few bugs as I doubt even a large beta test would find them all, this just is a goat rope!!! Little things like a crop tool that is in 10 isn't in Raw. My biggest complaint is that...
I've been trying out the On1Raw as well. My biggest complaints are that it is slow and that it can't use my Topaz plug ins. While I don't have a Wacom tablet yet, I want one and it doesn't support pressure scaling. I'm sure at some point all of this is going to be collected but my problem is...
I'm brand new here and not sure which way to turn. I've used LR since v4, but still not much of a power user. I'm not a PS user, I use Elements a little. I'm looking for advice on which version of the new LR to get considering that I'll probably never use PS. Maybe it's just a matter of how...
