Yes, I played around with Portfolio a bit, it's nice but I was a bit surprised that it wasn't possible to update from the iPad.
I find the concept of the iPad as a front end to LrC interesting ... I need to think about that for a bit (although I usually have so many sync problems that I try to...
I'm looking for some service that would make it easy to publish/update content from Lightroom Mobile, Lightroom Classic, and Lightroom Desktop. I previously used Smugmug but decided to cancel my subscription (completely unrelated to my question) and have since then tried to find some other way...
Thanks for the comments, and for teaching me a new word
I see a new mini in my not too distant future, but what combination of processor/cores/memory/cost it will be ... that's an open question.
This is probably a stupid question but ...
I have 2018 Mac Mini that I use for my photo stuff, it has worked well but after switching to a 45+ MB camera it has started to protest. It is almost like it starts spinning the fans when I hold up a memory card in front of the screen :). More...
This was interesting, I did a few quick tests before having to leave for work. In short: LR have already full disc access and I can export photos to the same folder.
But when I clicked around I noticed that the JPEGmini plugin showed an error of some kind (didn't look into it because of lack of...
Perhaps someone have an idea for what to check. I set up a "Hard Drive" publish service but when I try to run it I get an error message
And the problem is that I don't understand what is wrong. A few facts:
The export folder is on an external SSD drive
So far the Publish Service only contain...
A question to those of you who have experience with using multiple computers. For a number of years I've been using LR on a single computer (desktop), however I recently have gotten the opportunity to use a laptop and I see that as a possible solution to a problem that I have: adding metadata to...
I just noticed that the internal disk of Mac Mini have started to fill up, of course the Lightroom Catalog is a major culprit here (the photos are already on an external disk) and I'm starting to consider moving the LR Catalog to an external SSD. Does anyone have any recommendations for a...
Thanks for the answer, at least I wasn't missing something (as I don't know how the code base looks like I can't say how easy or difficult it would be to implement it but detecting a modifier key isn't that hard and as Johan says the functionality kind of exists already ... but perhaps there is...
When dragging one or more photos to a collection is it possible to automatically create a virtual copy?
What I would like: I have a collection "A" with photo X, I drag the photo to collection "B" and I want to hava VC in collection B.
What I currently do: in collection "A" I select X, make a...
Yes, I've been using it like that for 3-4 months but it didn't work for me. There were different issues with for example modifying a photo in an app where the photo had previously been imported into LR, then the new version didn't get imported - I fully understand why this design decision was...
With the release of "Photoshop Camera" I started to wonder if there exists a dedicated camera app that uploads to Lightroom. The built in camera i Lightroom has, in my opinion, not a very good UI and feels very "heavy" to use. I'm using iOS and other apps like ProCamera, Halide and Camera+ which...
I don't think I can, I've got several different services running on both machines (Synology NAS) and I suspect that "home" is hard-coded or at least difficult to change. But now when I know what is wrong it's pretty easy to avoid the problem.
Yep ... it was as bad as I suddenly feared ... the path name depends on the order I've mounted the NAS devices. Sigh. In other words I must remember to mount the devices in the "correct" order for publish to work. I've just tested and now publish works.
I'm at least able to browse the file systems.
The "-1" might be explained by me having more than one NAS that are mounted (too much hardware :D ) ... but perhaps ... hmmm ... I need to check something
Yes, they are all Hard Disk services, but they originally had paths like this
- /Volumes/home-1/photo/Arkivet
- /Volumes/home-1/photo/Samlingar
- /Volumes/Maxarkivet/Dokumentbibliotek/jalbum/src bilder/album.mostrom.eu/Yttersjö
Now they all have the last path
Yep, it has those permissions. And it worked when I set up those destinations. I have no idea why it doesn't work now ... I'm a bit confused to be honest.
