Exactly right. I was really trying to head off someone spending hours trying to chase down what ended up be a synch path error, since the message was not specific about synching. It's nice to know that the catalogue uses relative (to it) pathing.
Well, they on the same hard drive, but they are in a file called "other pictures" and the photos are next to that folder in a folder called "real pictures." Why I did that is lost in the fogs of history...., but it still worked, perhaps because the relative names remained the same.

Is printing available yet? If not, will the original poster’s idea of using Epson’s print utility work? The lack of printing functionality was what stopped me from even considering transitioning, but I have not looked at it in a while.
I’d be interested in a discussion about the benefits and negatives of using a catalogue (with LR) vs a product that does not use a catalogue (On1 raw). I’m not interested in any of the other issues, just the advantages and disadvantages of using a catalogue. Thanks!
I'm having the same problem. I'm glad I ran into this thread. I was about to spend a lot of time testing my usb 3.0 port to see if a driver had gotten crushed.
