How do I export a catalog with develop presets? For my main catalog, I have preset stored with the catalog. It makes no difference if I toggle that option or not.
One issue may be that I can't access the options at the bottom of the export as catalog box. If I try to expand by dragging the...
I can only have two types of students, those that completely new to the program that our open ideas of having consistent workflow, and those that come to me because the catalog is a mess in their previous alternative workflow got them into trouble.
I still believe the easiest way is to download...
The Photography plan costs 33¢ USD a day for Lightroom Classic, Lightroom, Photoshop, the other apps and cloud syncing with mobile devices which engages my creatively which makes me feel human.
For the privilege of living in the San Francisco Bay Area, we pay for $50/day in property taxes...
I'm looking to create a page of Lightroom Classic and photography resources. Sources for either plug ins, tutorials, good advice, or other Lightroom resources.
Jeffrey Friedl Plug ins
The Turning Gate, online photo galleries
John R. Ellis Lightroom Plugins
Focus Mask
Teekesselchen...
One option you may want to to try is Jeffrey’s “Smart-Collection Sync” Lightroom Plugin. You can set up a smart collection for everything shot in the last week or month, or whatever works for you, and then you have new Lightroom Classic images sync automatically to Lightroom without having to...
I followed the directions at
https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/kb/lightroom-displays-same-hard-drive-twice.html
and that worked until the drive was swapped with another computer.
Now that I manually found the missing folders, I don't know if that will stick or will swapping with...
After working with clients for years and seeing all kinds of issues, I thought it would be useful to pen another handout before my class next week.
What would you add or change...
Yes, and earlier in this thread, you pointed me to https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/kb/lightroom-displays-same-hard-drive-twice.html which fixed the problem temporarily but re-occurred when the hard drive was swiped back and forth with another computer, this time created 2 additional...
Master Photography doesn't show the folders that are located their, they show up in Master Photo 1 and 2 as missing folders. I don't have the other computer in front of me, but Master Photo 1 and 2 and not actual drives, they are being created when the hard drive and catalog are swapped between...
But those aren't actual drive, they are parts of the Master Photography drive that is mounted, but folders on that drive show up on "Master Photography 1", and "Master Photography 2" as missing folders.
This is confusing. Are you saying that you can store images locally, but they can't be associated with albums, ratings? That doesn't make sense.
Again, can you move Lightroom images from the cloud to local storage and retain development settings, albums and ratings?
So are you saying that that you can download images to a local hard drive but you can't keep versions, albums, likes, and comments? It's not a matter of exporting, but migrating.
Now that Lightroom allows local storage instead of requiring uploading images, what is the method for moving images from the cloud to a local drive, keeping edits and organization?
Thanks,
Reid
And it worked!.....for a little while. I fixed the problem and got call back from my client showing me that she transferred the drive to her desktop computer, then back to the laptop an it again looked like this, except this time with a third drive:
The Adobe instructions said how to fix...
First, I want to thank everyone for being here and your help and knowledge. I've been using Lightroom since 2006 and teaching it since 2011. When I get stuck, I come here.
I've never encountered this before. I have a client that wants to swap a catalog between 2 computers, so we have the...
So it looks like you still need to sign in somehow, not just have the URL.
I'm assuming signing in via Google, Apple, for Facebook give them the right to scour your account and contacts.
