I've finally sorted it. It toook a while. When exporting the file to create a .cube file I wasn't naming it properly. All sorted now.
Thanks to all the contributors.

I created the profile in ACR, but not finding it in LR. Currently I've changed the color space from ProPhoto to Adobe RGB and tht appears to work. I'll do more tests.
I wonder why ProPhoto didn't work.
Chris
I'm using Windows 10 (64 bit, I believe the latest version, it updates itself yesterday). I've created some profiles from LUT's (.CUBE) in ACR. They are in ACR (15.2), but do not show in Lightroom classic. I've closed LR and re-opened it several times, and also re-booted my PC. Any suggestions?
I've taken several thousand photos at Silverstone Grand Prix. I'm looking to sort by time (not Date) as I want to separate Formula 1 practices, qualifying and racing from Formula 2 from Formula 3. The time slots are maybe 3\4 hour, but contain potentially many hundreds of photos!!!
OK. That all makes sense, except the number next to Bird does not increase when adding Heron. clicking to the right of Bird does not bring up all the Birds tagged.
Operating System:Win 7 64 bit
Lightroom Version: CC
(Please go to Help menu > System Info to double check the exact version number)
Question or Description of Problem: Cannot add to parent from child. If I drag a photo to a child keyword (Heron) it isn't added to the parent (Bird)
I run a mobile catalog, for when I'm away from home and the Master catalog. Whenever I import the mobile catalog, the keywords do not nest within the existing hierarchy, but create their own. I could end up with PEOPLE - friends - Chris (The master list) and people - friends - Chris.
Why don't...
onOne needs files already on HDD just drag across from camera card. Speedy because it only accesses the jpg within the RAW file. I use it, I also use DxO as it's auto function is better than LR's camera profile function for distortion, noise and CA. However, if I could only keep one program it...
Sync the presets folders between the two computers. Don't keep presets with catalogue - it doesn't keep them all!!
Keep your catalogue on your portable drive, whether it's the HDD or SSD. Keep your photos on the same drive.
On either computer, go to the catalogue file on the external drive and...
Really sorry. I just cannot get it to copy a collection. Pressing the alt key (win 7 64bit) only moves the collection. It doesn't copy it. Thanks for trying to help Cletus.
Does this work with LR v5.7? I just cannot seem to get it to work.
I create a collection set for each piece of work, inside I create smart collections:
All imported (using date)
Rejects
Pick 1, pick 2 and pick 3.
It would be great to have a master set, then just change collection name and...
My understanding is
Lightroom will continue to be available as a stand alone package, as well as part of the CC package.
Photoshop can only be purchased as part of the CC package. I assume therfore there will be no new version of Photoshop, as we used to expect, just updates via CC, which you...
In a SMART collection, the "virtual copy" had .icm as it's suffix, it ended up with the original file in the same smart collection. However there is a develop setting in creating a smart collection, under which there is a proof setting that you can set as true or false. This solved the issue...
When I create a soft proof file for printing in Lightroom, the .icm file ends up in my smart collection. There is not an exclude .icm - well I can't find it. Is there a work around? Or do I just ignore them?
?
I'd like (read need) to add keywords on importing photos from the Camera Roll. The Keywords need to be nested as on the desktop, to easily link back when sync'ing. No point having the keyword duplicated, and needing to re-link them all. That would be such a waste of time. Anyone suggested it as...
Thanks. The Preset approach appears to be the answer. I can stick it to the back of the the print for future comparisons, with the benefit of being able to use it in future workflows.
Chris
I'm trying to create a proof print and get a copy of the settings used to create it. I've tried print screen, but there are too many options, from basic panel through curves and on to sharpening to fit on one screen. The idea is to easily compare differences when printed. Especially sharpening -...
