With the network cable connected, Windows searches for the driver and reinstalls it. I have uninstalled the Intel driver multiple times, and the only way it stays uninstalled is without a network connection. In any case, the new Intel driver will not install, and even with the Intel graphics...
I disconnected the network cable, then uninstalled the Intel display adapter. When I rebooted, it was replaced with the Microsoft generic adapter. When I attempted to install the new driver I got the message "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing this software."

I downloaded the recommended driver. Unfortunately, it will not install without removing the previous driver, which, after at least five tries, will not uninstall. So, I disabled the Intel graphics interface, but still get the message.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
Has anyone else experienced this?
I just installed 11.5, and on startup I get a message that there are issues with Intel HD4600 graphics. Unfortunately, the driver version recommended is not available for the HD4600. My primary video, however, is an Nvidia GTX 1050 TI. Given that, I have two...
I realize this is a late reply, but I found a workaround. I export the images as large JPEGs, with watermarks, then import the exported images back into Lightroom. Not elegant, but it works.

Laura Shoe shows you how to make a preset here: Update: Inverting Your Images
Tip: If you are inverting color negatives, I've found it a little easier to color balance when I shoot them using a blue filter, such as an 80a or 80b.
This is my standard setup on Windows 8.1 using USB 3.0. If you are using Thunderbolt, which is effectively an extension of the PCIe bus, you should not have any problems.
I don't plan on changing any time soon, but I have had to move data from one database to another in the past, and it has never been a straightforward process. For images, having a good, consistent naming structure will likely help if I ever have to move from Lightroom to something else.
Yes. For any number of reasons, images can get disconnected from catalogs. It my never happen to you, but it does happen. I automatically write metadata to XMP even though it does affect performance somewhat.
Although your printer can print to the resolution specified, a photo image usually will not benefit from a print resolution much higher than 300 dpi. On my Epson 2880 I set my print resolution to 360 dpi. Going beyond that typically only wastes time and ink. You might try some sample prints at...
